CANIZZARO
Canizzaro's work is very important inside the history of chemistry during the XIX century. In Italy he founded the first modern chemical laboratory in Rome's University; between 1883 and 1886 he founded the chemical laboratories of customs. He was a burning nationalist. Very important it is its speech during the chemists' congress in Karslruhe (1860), in that occasion he asserted the Avogadro's law and its theories. He was a member of many Academies in Italy and in France.

Stanislao Canizzaro was born in Palermo on 1826 and died
in Rome in 1910.
